See through his eyes
Papai Noel Ricardo's dream started in Brazil. His outpouring of love, commitment and dedication spread to Africa. It is a boundless commitment not limited to race or country. His vision is contagious.
His mission is simple:
"To build/maintain orphanages where children can get love, attention, care, recreation, good education, with the opportunity to receive the best values and learn a profession. Brio Dream Foundation's aim is to provide hope for needy children. It is inconceivable to imagine a child on December 25th seeing other children playing with their Christmas gifts while they received nothing. They might be homeless or orphans and their entire year was probably filled with bad memories and hurt feelings. But Christmas is a magic within and it's magic is the existence of Santa Claus and the miracles. What it would it be for these children to lose their faith? This initiative is intended to bring hope, or better said, to preserve hope".
After 14 years of working alone, not wanting credit or recognition, Ricardo realized the need to include others. If his dream of opening an orphanage was ever to come true, he needed others to share his dream. He realized he needed to tell people what he was doing in order to build a network of volunteers united in a common goal to provide for the children. To date, he has people in Africa, Brazil and the USA.
A special thank you for these past volunteers: Eduardo Borges, Ana Martins, Junior Bourguignon in Africa and Primac family (Nuno, Marly, Nuninho, Juliana, Adriana e André) in Brazil.
